Imaged Saturn and Mars on the evening of September 5, 2018 (UTC). Similar to the last few days of August, the seeing conditions were some of the best of the year (CDS forcast was for excellent seeing with average transparency). Thanks to the steady seeing I was able to collimate my C8 prior to imaging (with the at best good seeing earlier this summer, my collimation was a bit off and my images suffered for it).

Imaged with a C8 Evo, custom Siebert 2x barlow, ZWO ADC, Baader UV-IR Cut filter, and ZWO ASI224MC. Imaging train was configured to give me ~F/25. Image capture using Firecapture and Sharpcap. Gain set at 350 and exposure was 55 ms to get a histogram at ~60%. Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 20% of ~7000 frames captured over ~360 seconds, 1.5x drizzled). Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6. Derotated and combined three images in WinJUPOS.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
